Episode 1 - Ginny Phang-Davey - "Presence in Birth brings Peace"

We begin by introducing Ginny Phang-Davey

“The birth of a baby is also the birth of a mother and a father (over and over again with each birth), and I love facilitating the journey of these parents as the human spirit unfolds and blossoms through pregnancy, birth and the fourth trimester.”

Sixteen years ago, when she followed her inner voice through one of the most challenging times of life, she now looks back with the beautiful gift of hindsight, knowing hand on heart that she is truly blessed to have found her calling as a Doula. With a passion and desire to serve (expectant) parents in her home in Singapore as well as now travelling around the world as a mentor to teach healthcare professionals and birth workers so the work of empowerment continues beyond her existence.

Her vision is to leave a legacy for women and their families by shifting the paradigm of birth, empowering women and their families to have the birth she desires and supporting them through early parenthood. I am currently working towards opening Singapore’s first Birth Centre whilst studying as a student midwife and working on a global outreach to improve maternity care. She has a passion for educating others through Optimal Maternal Positioning where she travel globally to empower birth professionals, parents and educators to truly support the vision of birth by choice.
