Episode 7: Ros McDonough - "Birthing with Kindness and Compassion"
Welcome to Episode 7 and meet the AMAZING Ros McDonough from www.hellobabymidwifery.com.au
Hi, I'm Ros McDonough, and I've been a registered and practicing midwife in South Australia since 1994, working at the Queen Elizabeth and Women’s and Children’s Hospitals in Adelaide. I began my career as a Registered Nurse in 1988. More recently, I received my Childbirth and Parent Education certification (2015) and Masters of Midwifery (2017).
I believe that every woman deserves attentive, evidence-based and informative care and I am delighted to offer these midwifery services to women without the strict time constraints common in the public health system.
I began Hello Baby! Midwifery because I wanted women to be able to access care that matched their needs, rather than just the bare minimum or fragmented, indifferent care.
We always take the time to listen to our clients and make sure they’re really heard – there’s nothing quite like working with a midwife who knows you and has been with you every step of the way.
Women should be enabled by knowledge, choice, support and encouragement to activate and realise their innate strength – this is how we’ll work with you at Hello Baby! Midwifery.
I believe that being a midwife is a privilege. It is a privilege to be used as a resource by other women and their partners; to be a catalyst for their self-growth and a conduit to a life-changing, life-giving experience.
I can’t wait to support you and your family.
